Dr Craig - a physics teacher from Yarm Grammar School - paid a visit to Year 5 today and demonstrated some very cool phenomena linked to particles. Children discovered that there are billions and billions of atoms making up each and every object, they had the chance to see the effects of pressure on a marshmallow and they even witnessed a ping-pong ball floating in the air due to the air currents from a hair dryer underneath! It truly was an eye-opening afternoon!
