As we are all aware, Yarm Fair rolled into town this week, perfectly timed for our Fairground Project.
On Wednesday morning, Y6 walked into the High Street to have a look at the rides that had turned up this year. There was some disappointment that a couple of the favourites hadn’t arrived this year.
There was also some disappointment that we were unable to jump on any of the rides! Our sole aim was to begin to generate some ideas about rides, their structures and their story.
We spotted some of the combinations of shapes used to make the rides stronger and then we had some time to sketch them.
The visit gave the children a whole host of ideas to put into action when we start our rides on Monday.
