This week we have been learning all about owls that live in the Arctic. We’ve shared stories about owls and looked in non-fiction books to find out interesting owl facts! We even made owls made out of fondant icing which were yummy.
In Literacy, we used our imaginations to make up stories about a baby penguin and its adventures in the Antarctic. The stories involved the penguin getting lost, being snatched by a fox and then being rescued by a snow dinosaur! All very exciting.
In Literacy we are learning how to say the letters of the alphabet in preparation for the older children learning the sounds each letter makes next half term. We have also been introduced to Metal Mike, a friendly robot who speaks differently to us. We say CAT but Metal Mike says C-A-T.
In Maths we have been learning all about the number 4, as well as recognising other numbers and matching them to numicon.
