As you can see, our new topic is a great hit with the children.
The Nursery fish restaurant is open and the children have wasted no time getting busy.We have ordered, cooked and served more fish and chips than you could ever eat!
In Literacy we have been looking at the difference between fiction and non-fiction books. Our new book is a non-fiction book called Surprising Sharks so we asked the children how scary they think sharks are. So far most of the children are in agreement that sharks are very scary. I wonder if they will change their minds as they learn more about sharks this half term!
We have also been identifying words that rhyme and shared a great rhyming story called, The Fish who could Wish.
In Maths we have focused on recognising and writing the number 8. We have also been separating three or four objects and realising that the total stays the same.
