The children have been learning lots of facts about fish and have enjoyed reading the story of the Rainbow Fish. They made their own Rainbow Fish and used finger painting to add on the scales. In the story, the Rainbow Fish learnt to share his beautiful shiny scales and so we have been taking about ways in which we can share in Nursery.
We have also been talking about keeping fish as pets which led us onto discussing which pets the children have at home, what makes a suitable pet and how we would look after a pet. Can the children remember what a pet might need? The children then drew their pet or a pet which they might like to have.
