Yesterday, Y5VH visited Conyers School to take part in a chemistry lesson on ‘Elements and Compounds’. We learned a range of interesting scientific facts and carried out a range of fascinating experiments.

“An element is something that is unique. It’s made up of only itself.” MC

“A compound is made up of different elements.” JB

“I learned some of the symbols off the periodic table.” WC

“A sign of a chemical reaction can be colour change, a change in temperature or the production of a gas.” EA

“I’ve learned that some elements can be dangerous.” CC
