Nursery have been learning all about Caterpillars this week.  They have learned about their life cycle – how they start off as an egg paid by a butterfly, from the egg a caterpillar hatches, the caterpillar grows and then turns into a pupa.  Inside the pupa a butterfly is forming.  When its is ready the butterfly comes out, dries its wings and off it flies!  The butterfly lays eggs and the life cycle starts all over again!  We have our own caterpillars in Nursery that we can look after and watch this wonderful transformation!  We will keep you updated!

We have all been Minibeast detectives this week!  In our outdoor environment we have been hunting for creepy crawlies and looking at them with a magnifying glass – some are truly fascinating!
