As we welcomed our Nursery children back this week, the weather was just right for our planned activities!! We learned how frost was formed and looked at pictures of the pretty patterns it makes! We were able to go outside on the grass and explore the frost for ourselves! The children thought it was cold, spikey and wet. The children discovered that they could make footprints in it too! Back in the classroom, the children explored blocks of ice in the water and were able to see how and what was making the ice melt!
We also looked at pictures of the Northern lights and the children did a really good job of trying to recreate them with marbles and paint which was really fun!
