As the curtain closes on what has been a busy term, can we just take the opportunity to thank all the children for their hard work and thank you for the support you have given us.

Eden camp was our first expedition, closely followed by our Yarm Fair project.

More recently, we have been learning about Ernest Shackleton.

This was finished by producing a short animation about the fateful journey Shackleton and his crew experienced. Here is one example – Lily’s Group

The behaviours for learning demonstrated have supported the children in making fantastic progress and sets us up nicely for the next hurdle after Christmas.

After the holidays, we are moving onto a new topic exploring the Ancient Greeks. Our enquiry question is ‘What have the Greeks done for us?’ If you have time to some aspects of this period in history, then please come armed with information on the first day back, Monday 7th January.

From myself and Mr Wood, please have a happy and healthy festive period and we will see you next year!
