Yesterday we visited Conyers School for the afternoon and had the opportunity to use microscopes. We quickly got to grips with the equipment, examining slides of crystals, creepy crawlies, muscles and even a cockroach’s oesophagus! We then painted a leaf with nail varnish and peeled it off to create our own samples – under the microscope we could see the detailed imprint of the cells and even the stomata. Miss Wilson’s class are looking forward to their turn next week.
