Happy new year to you all and welcome back to term 2! This term the children are learning about the polar regions and the animals which live there. They started off by going on an Arctic Adventure with Peter the Polar Bear and got dressed up in winter woolies to keep warm! Peter Polar Bear told the children all about the animals which live on ice and how they have special features such as thick fur and layers of fat under their skin to help to keep them warm. They learnt that Penguins only live in Antarctica and are not found in the Arctic at the North Pole! We even have our own 'Ice Cave' in our role play where they have had fun today going on their own Ice Adventures!!
