Welcome to the Year 4 blog 19-20!

Water Safety advice from the RNLI

Football Success for our Y3 and 4 girls
It is not only the England women’s football team that are doing well. Our Year 3 and Year 4 girls proudly celebrated their success when they brought home their first cup this week.Well done, girls, Who knows, we may be watching you in the World Cup matches in the future!
Who was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic?
We are all very excited by our new topic for this term. Children are arriving daily with new facts and figures to share. Keep researching! What questions do you have? What interesting information have you found out?
How interesting!
Our very own class animal expert had us all very interested in the tiny visitor she brought to school today – a tadpole, one of many she has rescued from a dried out beck. As she is so knowledgeable, she was able to answer all the forthcoming questions. Well done.
Super Science!
We love seeing creative, homework that the children are enthused about. This week we all watched in awe as a member of the year group brought in an experiment for us to observe.
What do you think happened to the pieces of paper when touched by the comb?
Why might that have happened?
Imaginative creative writing in Year 4
The children are producing some great writing. We even have a serial story on the go which the children love to read and they eagerly await the next instalment.
What an Adventure!
We are back and what an adventure we had.
We had laughs, bravery, challenge and ultimately teamwork.
We are so proud of the children! Here’s to a little rest before we are back on Tuesday!
