On Monday we began our ‘Mindfulness’ Project. This is 5 minutes each day where the children have an opportunity to relax and free their mind.

After a very long term, where we have all worked exceptionally hard, we are getting ready for a well deserved Christmas break.

Year 6 have been deepening their knowledge of WW2 by making authentic recipes from the period as part of looking at Christmas on the home front. Our great cook Dawn helped everyone get involved and used our local historian friends Jan & Richards recipes for Christmas pudding, cake and ration buns.…
Is there life out there?
The children were lucky enough to go on a search for intergalactic life (via the indoor planetarium). The show raised some interesting questions and revealed some amazing facts about life on Earth.
How do plants transport water investigation
The children made some predictions regarding an experiment involving the transport of coloured water in celery. We have recorded our predictions and method and we will observe the celery over the course of the week to record the results and conclusions from our findings.
